Pastor Derrick Dewayne Kemp is the organizer of Greater Love Community Church (GLCC) in Waldorf, Maryland. GLCC is a non-denominational, charismatic church focused on making a loving impact in the lives of all people. GLCC is a center where all individuals and families can grow in the faith and discover true love only found in God.

 

Pastor Kemp is a native Washingtonian and a product of the Prince Georges County Public Schools System, in Maryland. Pastor Kemp grew up as a country boy shelling peas, shucking corn, and picking blue berries at his grandparents in southern Georgia

 

Pastor Kemp, who has a heart for people, freely gives of himself to help others. Helping and being a blessing to others is his passion. He is the proud father of SynQuan, who he lovingly refers to as “little man of God”.

 

Pastor Kemp is completing his biblical studies at Regent University. His over ten years of administrative and management skills and training have been instrumental in the development of the City of Peace Enterprise Inc, a community development corporation and the enhancement of the support staff at the Department of Navy, Litigation Office.

 

Pastor Kemp is under the spiritual covering of Bishop Alan G. Porter, Harambee Ministries Fellowship, Temple Hills, MD and his mother in ministry Dr. Florida T. Morehead, of Shalom Ministries Christian Center, Fort Washington, MD.

 

His desire is to preach the Word of God to encourage, equip, embrace, and empower all people from various walks of life to live transformed lives for the Lord. He preaches with Power and Authority, with the expectation that Holy Spirit will Convict, Comfort, and Compel new Souls to Christ and the body to spiritual maturity.

 

Pastor Kemp stands unyielding on the scripture Romans 8:28 “And we know all things work together for the good of them that love the Lord and are called according to His purpose.”
